Registration for swim lessons opens Saturday, May 25, 2002, 12noon, at the pool front desk.

The cost of all swimming lessons is $30 a session for members and $40 for non-members

Dates for classes are: June 24 - July 5, July 15 - July 26 and August 5 - August 16.

Class times are approximate:

8:30 - 9:15am - Level III

9:15 - 10am - Level II

10 - 10:45am - Level I

10 - 10:45am - Mommy and Me

10:30 - 11:15am - Combination Level IV, Level V and Level VI

6:00 - 6:45pm - Level I

6:15 - 6:45pm - Mommy and Me

6:30 - 7:15pm - Combination Level III and Level IV

7 - 7:45pm - Level II

If there should be enough students to fill any level in the combination groups, that level will be taught separately. Mommy and Me class will not be held unless at least 6 students are signed up.

Instruction levels will be:

a. Infant and Preschool Aquatics

b. Level I - Water Exploration

c. Level II - Primary Skills

d. Level III - Stroke Readiness (Beginner Swimmer)

e. Level IV - Stroke Development (Advanced Beginner)

f. Level V - Stroke Refinement (intermediate swimmer)

g. Level VI - Skill Proficiency (Swimmer)

h. Level VII - Advanced Skills (Advanced Swimmer)

There will be 9 instruction days in each class, each 30 - 45 minutes in length with the more proficient levels scheduled early. All classes are limited to 10 students unless an aide is present.

Class instruction will include group demonstrations prior to entering the water and then group and individual instruction by the instructor once in the water.

All levels will receive a completion certificate.
